Diamond League Information
Package Includes:
- Eight 60-minute sessions focusing on fundamental skill development and decision-making training
- Diamond League competition consists of the top 66 High School female players in and around Calgary
- Eight, 40-minute stop time league games (6 regular season games & 2 playoff games)
- 2 experienced officials to officiate every game
- Each Diamond Prep League team is head coached by either a local experienced coach or a local college/university experienced assistant coach
- Uniform and warm up shirt included.
- CMBA is currently exploring enhanced training content, coach development, sport psychology, nutrition, strength & conditioning, etc for both Diamond League and Platinum League. More info to come as it's available.

Diamond League Days

Games - 1:25pm to 3 pm

$20 Try-out fee which is not refundable.
Eligibility:
Female players from Grade 10-12 attending High School in the Calgary and Surrounding Areas
Player Ranking will take place on Sept 14th and the list will be posted on Sept 16th at 6pm.
All players not invited to participate in this years program will be refunded their Diamond League Fee of $400. By September 21st 2025.
Eligibility:
Players must be attending a High School in Alberta to participate.
Exceptions may apply to Grade 9 players - applications for grade 9 must be a written email to CMBA with basketball history.
Please note: on the rare occasion some exceptions may apply to Grade 9 students. If you are in Grade 9, and would like to participate, please contact CMBA at league@cmba.ab.ca prior to registering for further details.
Registration
There will be no refunds for the $20.00 try-out fee.
100% Refund under the following conditions:
- Player withdraws from the program prior to September 7th
- Player attends tryout and is not selected on to a team
No Refunds after September 7 at 12:00pm. All players who withdraw prior to this time, must do so via email to league@cmba.ab.ca
Any refunds will be given within 15 days of the withdraw notice, not including the $20.00 tryout fee, subject to the conditions above.
