Kidsport Calgary are partnering with the Calgary Surge Professional Basketball team to do a 5050 at their last regular season home game this Wednesday, July 26. Both of these 5050’s will be supporting our work to support low-income kids and their access to Basketball programs in Calgary & Area.
Basketball has continued to grow as one of Kidsport's top funded sports. In 2023 it has already surpassed 2022 with 572 kids already assisted and almost $180,000 in registration fees distributed back into local community programs to ensure these kids have the support they need to be able to play. Additionally we have distributed over 50 basketballs and 20 pairs of shoes to help with no cost equipment through our Flames Sports Bank. Basketball is our 2nd highest funded sport next to only soccer this year!
Even if you are unable to attend the game you can purchase 50/50 ticket(s) on-line in support of low income families to be able to play basketball this season.
All proceeds will be going back into basketball registrations for KidSport kids across Calgary and the outlying area communities of Cochrane, Airdrie, Chestermere, Langdon, Strathmore, Okotoks, Diamond Valley, High River.
